The Salto del Corzo, a wild, unique and inaccessible place, immersed in the integral reserve area of Monfrague National Park, in a Private Nature Reserve closed to the public.
We will cross dehesas, until we arrive to the Vega de Malueñez, a Dehesa with centenary holm oaks, where the ancient inhabitants worked their vegetable gardens. From there, a walking route will take us through the mountains to the viewpoint of Salto del Corzo, over the Piatones mountain range, a spot with spectacular views and landscapes.
We will observe birds of prey flying very close to us, feeling the calm beat of their wings. From the viewpoint of the Sierra de Piatones you can see the most impressive shady slopes of Monfrague National Park: forests covered with holm oaks, cork oaks, strawberry trees, rockroses, mastic trees, wild olive trees; an impenetrable vegetation.
Available period: From 15 of September to 30 of January. Restrictions the rest of the year because a high number of Black vultures are nesting, being a restricted area of the National Park.
